A special tip for the whole family is a trip to the Schlossalm with a large children's playground and adjacent slackline park or the Flying Fox at the waterfall. Families also get their money's worth on the nature trail at Fulseck. A particularly great children's area is located on the Schlossalm with slide, net swing, hammock, crawling tunnel and much more. Hiking in the Gasteinertal

You can spend your vacation in nature in Bad Hofgastein in Salzburger Land away from the hectic pace of everyday life.

Here in the Gasteinertal, the possibilities for mountain bikers and cyclists are as diverse as the landscape itself. Gastein is at the very top of the popularity scale among bikers. The diverse routes up to the highest summit are as popular as the leisurely routes for amateur cyclists and families. Do you want to rack up the meters? Then head out into the Gasteinertal on road bike. If you would rather head uphill and downhill, simply take your bike with you to the Dorfgastein gondola, which will transport you and your bike to the top of the mountain! You can then enjoy a racing ride down into the valley, where mountains and forest trails become your personal bike park!

Whether uphill, downhill, family tours, e-bike experiences, or road biking fun – everyone will find their favorite route in Gastein.

In the hotel you can rent city bikes, and at the bike rental in town you can rent mountain bikes as well as e-bikes.

Nordic walking

Whether alone or together. Nordic walking across the Gasteinertal is tons of fun.

Along the Gasteiner Ache, through the beautiful spa gardens, or leisurely from town to town on the old main road: Gastein offers many Nordic walking routes with a variety of altitudes and difficulty levels.

The Gasteiner Höhenweg connects the towns of Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein and provides excellent views. If you take on this challenge and conquer the vertical meters, you can reward yourself with a cool “Radler” drink on the sunny terrace of one of the hill farms or alpine inns. It’s worth it in any case!
