Almost 5 million liters of water gush out of the 18 springs in Gastein daily. What makes the water so special? Our famous Gastein thermal water is especially valuable for health and well-being. It takes about 3000 years for it to run through the layers of rock in the Hohe Tauern. It then bubbles up to the surface enriched with radon and is slightly mineralized. Among other things, it fills the pools of the spas in the Gasteinertal, which attract guests with their alpine water worlds.
